Review: The Godfather 2

Summary of the game:

This game allows players to step into the life of a Don. In this is installment of “The Godfather” the Godfather 2 allows players to continue off of the start of their new life.  Players are able to download content that would aid them through the game with cool perks.  These perks range from money and weapons that could be used at will to deal with the frustrations of maintaining your businesses throughout the game. In this game players can also take their fight for the top spot through online gameplay. This gameplay enables the players to combat against others across the world for rank and weapons that can affect not only their players but other members in their family tree.

Storyline:

This game continues off of the “The Godfather”, in which on the eve of the Cuban revolution, a major mob meeting in Havana takes a turn for the worst. When the Don of your family is killed in an attempt to flee Cuba it is entirely left up to you to take the reins and lead the Corleone dynasty organization to its rightful place at the top. However with several factions also fighting for the seat to be number one, the Corleone dynasty must fight their way to the top through murder, extortion, and favors.

Gameplay:

This features real time shooting, in which the player can choose a part of the body to shoot at in order to take down their enemies. The game also features a cover system in which the players can use obstacle scattered throughout the world to their advantage. The player may also use members of their crime family to take out rival business through use of hostile takeover, and even use politicians, judges, district attorney, and construction workers to slow down the success of rival gang’s expansion into your territory. The godfather also allows player to take their opponents out with brutal melee combat executions. These executions styles range from strangulation, pummeling, face punting, or even shoving a bat down their enemy’s throats.
